Community Connect – In Conversation With Soraya

Join us at our next Where Women Connect event, where we’ll go in conversation with Soraya Lennie an investigative reporter who was based based in war zones in the Middle East such as Afghanistan and Iraq. The photo of Soraya in this post was taken in Mosul, during the battle against ISIS.

Soraya also lived in Doha, Qatar like me and we got connected through a mutual friend who also yes lived in Qatar! Now the three of us are based in Lisbon. And that’s the power of our networks, through which we meet the most amazing and inspiring women wherever we are in the world.

Soraya will share with us her career journey in journalism and her experience being based in war zones as a woman. It nicely blends in with this year’s International Women’s Day theme which is all about Inspiring Inclusion. Soraya definitely has many stories to share about this!
