Introduce yourself
Emma is 33 years old and originally from Wales. Before settling in Portugal 8 years ago, she lived in Thailand and Brazil. She’s married and has a 3 year old son. Her background is in make-up and education.
Something funny about me? Well, some would call me clumsy – I’ve been hospitalised in 7 countries!
What or who inspired you to become a business owner?
I was working Monday-Friday 9-5 and was dreaming of a life where I created my own schedule. Where I could sit by the beach at 11am on a Tuesday morning having brunch with friends. I wanted something that was mine, I was determined to see my dreams and ideas come to life.
What product or service do you offer?
My company @nannypoppins provides childcare for international families. I’m proud to have over 26 nationalities represented on my amazing team of talented, professional nannies. We have nannies and clients from all over the world!
How does your service or product help other women?
We don’t stop at providing childcare. One of my other goals is to support mothers and create a supportive community. Most of us are expats living far from our families and I believe it’s so important to find your village. I love bringing people together and I’m a big believer of women empowerment. We are stronger together.
